The Avid Seamstress Day Dress

With a fitted bodice, gathered skirt and inner pockets, The Day Dress will be one of the prettiest dresses in your wardrobe. With three ways of making the front bodice, you can easily customise it to make it your own. 

Bodice options: view A has a seam at the front, great for colour blocking. View B has a button front and view C is cut on the fold. All views have an invisible zip at the back. Have fun making this dress out of a variety of fabrics. 

Suggested fabrics: light - heavy weight non-stretch fabrics.

Supplies needed:

Fabric, thread, 56cm / 22in invisible zipper. 1m 6mm wide elastic.

View B

Fabric, thread, 56cm / 22in invisible zipper, six 1.5cm buttons, buttonhole presser foot, 1 metre elastic 6mm wide, half a metre iron-on interfacing.
