The Merlin coat from I AM patterns is a lapel coat to brave the cold. It has enough ease to wear a warm sweater underneath. It can be closed with one button at hip level with an option to add another button a few inches above. it has tailored two-piece sleeves, welt pockets and is fully lined.
The paper pattern comes in a gold envelope with a step-by-step illustrated instruction guide in English.
The different pieces overlap with each other so you will need to trace the pattern onto paper.

Recommended fabrics: boiled wool, wool gabardine, melton, boucle. Choose a medium to heavyweight fabirc with some body to keep the structure of the coat.
