The Wildwood Wrap Dress is a shawl collar dress with a detached belt. It features waist and shoulder pleats for a dreamy drape around the neckline, a slim skirt with deep pockets and a wide, faced hem. There are two sleeve options: dolman rolled-up sleeves; short cut-on sleeves. There are two hem lengths: below the knee and midi-length.
Recommended fabrics: Sleeve version A & B - dress weight linen, linen blends, supple cotton lawn, cotton ikat, dress weight cottons that aren't too stiff. Sleeve version A (additional fabrics) - rayon, silk, fabrics with some drape. Note that sleeve version B does not roll up with drapey fabrics.
Skill Level: Intermediate | Sizes: 00 - 22
Sundries: thread, lightweight fusible interfacing, 1 x 18mm button, 107cm of 6mm wide twill tape or ready made ties, small hook and eye set.
Tools: fabric scissors, iron and ironing board, straight pins, marking chalk, hand sewing needle, optional tailor's ham.
